I am Mohamed and I am a student at whetstone high school (columbus city schools district) I been a columbus city school for three years I really enjoyed the time here I had some great teachers specially math teachers and some great coaches, and safety.

I went to Columbus City Schools for my K-12 education until graduating in during Covid. My experience was that the teachers, education, and student diversity were generally pretty good. There were also some nice clubs and activities that we could participate in. However, the major issue with this district is under-funding, which is a difficult situation that nobody seems to know how to fix. There were various issues with buildings such as co*ckroaches, snakes, rats, unsafe heating and cooling, etc. While there are many benefits to CCS such as the school lottery system and the diverse program option of a large school district, other districts may more resources.

There is much to improve in the Columbus City Schools District. many schools don't have resources such as CCP class or AP classes. Many schools do not have resources for clubs or activities either. There is some parental involvement in some schools where it is an important piece of those schools.
