Can I use Zelle with MIDFLORIDA credit union? ›

Peer-to-peer payment apps such as Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, and PayPal are making it easier than ever to pay friends and family. Download the cash transfer app* you choose, and connect your MIDFLORIDA account or debit card to the app.

How long does it take to transfer funds? Transfers may take two to five days to process.

If your bank or credit union offers Zelle^®, please contact them directly to learn more about their sending and receiving limits through Zelle^®. If your bank or credit union does not yet offer Zelle^®, your weekly send limit is $500 and your weekly receive limit is $5,000 in the Zelle^® app.

Money sent with Zelle^® is typically available to an enrolled recipient within minutes. If it has been more than three days, we recommend confirming that you have fully enrolled your Zelle^® profile, and that you entered the correct email address or U.S. mobile number and provided this to the sender.

Why is Zelle not letting me send money? ›

If you are sending a payment and an error occurred:

There may be an issue with the email address or mobile number they have enrolled with Zelle^®. You may verify with the Recipient they have fully enrolled with the email address or mobile number you are trying to send money, and have opted into receive notification.

Since most Zelle transactions can't be canceled, the limits help lessen the financial loss if your account number is compromised or if you send money to the wrong person. Most banks and credit unions set Zelle limits based on daily, weekly and monthly dollar amounts. Some banks also impose a transaction limit.

Money sent with Zelle® is typically available to an enrolled recipient within minutes. You'll receive notification when the payment is sent and once it's deposited into their account. Your recipient also receives notice when money is sent to them.

If you sent money to someone with Zelle® and they never received it, there are a few things you can do: Check the payment status. You can do this in the Zelle® app. If the payment status is pending, the recipient may not have enrolled their mobile number or email address to receive the payment.

How long do Zelle® transactions take? Transactions between users at banks that offer Zelle typically occur within minutes when you send money using an email address or phone number. If your recipient is not yet registered with Zelle, it will take 1-3 business days for the money to be deposited after they enroll.

Hundreds of banks and credit unions of all sizes across the U.S. currently offer Zelle^® in their banking apps or online banking.

Some notable financial institutions that NerdWallet has reviewed and that don't participate directly in the Zelle network include Alliant Credit Union, American Express, Barclays, Connexus Credit Union, LendingClub Bank, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, Pentagon Federal Credit Union, SoFi and Synchrony Bank.
