What an honor for V+O Group to organize Our Ocean Greece 2024 | An Ocean of Potential!The 9th Our Ocean Greece Conference was hosted in Athens on April 15-18, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy and the Natural Environment & Climate Change Agency (N.E.C.C.A.)More than 3.500 participants attended Plenary Sessions, High-Level Keynote Speeches, and more than 80 Side Events all hosted at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.Governmental delegations from 119 countries, IGOs and NGOs participants, Philanthropists, Academics, and Private Sector representatives, came together in a conference that highlighted the need to save the ocean for it to save us.A Youth Leadership Summit, working lunches, bilateral meetings, and evening networking events were all geared towards exploiting the ocean’s vastness and immense potential to sustain and preserve life on our planet.3 of the group's companies:V+O Communication | Unlimited Creativity | Curious Ahead, 5 months for preparation, 15 of our people in the core planning team, 40 of our people at the event roll-out stage. V+O teamed up with our client HELLENIC RECOVERY RECYCLING CORPORATION to launch the ultimate Recycling Guide, a crucial step forward in sustainable practices. This guide illuminates the intricate processes at HERRCO's Waste Recycling Systems operating since 2003. Most importantly, it answers major questions about materials and methods, educating the public on the best practices aiming to transform our recycling habits.Our visit to the Recyclable Materials Collection Center (KDAΥ) in Elefsina was a highlight, giving us firsthand insight into the effective combination of engineering and manual sorting methods used there. On Tuesday, April 9, Hotel Grande Bretagne, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Athens commemorated its illustrious 150th anniversary with the premiere of the Documentary "150 Years Hotel Grande Bretagne: Hosting History" at Pallas Theater. Directed by Thodoris Papadoulakis and produced by Indigo View, the captivating film celebrates a milestone of historical significance, through a rich tapestry of narratives and insights from the Hotel’s journey so far. Following the screening, Hotel Grande Bretagne opened its doors to the hundreds of guests from the political, business, and social scene, for a spectacular birthday party! Featuring an original dance act, a live music performance with songs from different decades and an inspired culinary experience created by Hotel Grande Bretagne’s Executive Chef Asterios Koustoudis …it was an evening to remember!
